If you love every type of car from muscle cars to imports, you need to make your way to Automotion in the Wisconsin Dells. Automotion is an annual event. It usually takes place in May, a sure fire sign spring is finally here in the Wisconsin Dells. The venue is always easy to find. For those who love waterparks and/or have children, it is, in fact, the perfect place to hold a car show. The venue is
Noah's Ark Waterpark. This is not to say, Automotion does not provide children with things to do. They can take part in a scavenger hunt, buy food, drink or souvenirs from the concession stands, wander by the Fire Truck Displays, watch juggling or have their face painted. On a really hot day, however, it is ideal to have the waterpark as an optional activity. Your children can be off on the various rides while you check out the wheels. This way, you can combine your visit without compromising their fun.
Automotion is a combination Auto Show, Swap Meet and Car Corral. There are over 900 automobiles on display. You can register and be directly involved in the event or simply come to the park and enjoy it. There are awards for a variety of car makes. Vehicles vie for Street Machine of the Year, Street Rod of the Year, Muscle Car of the Year, Custom Cruiser of the Year, Classic Car of the Year (must be 1989 maximum) and Truck of the Year. Hang out with the car owners and talk cars, cars and cars. As part of this 2-day event, there is also live music and a Car Cruise on Saturday.
