Wow what a place! With Wisconsin’s main industry being agriculture, it’s no wonder that the state fairgrounds here are second to none. Ever since 1892, the Wisconsin State Fair Park has had its roots on this sprawling 100 acres in Milwaukee. This enormous exhibition center hosts many venues throughout the year including the Milwaukee Mile. It’s also home to the Pettit National Ice Center which is a training facility for U. S. Olympians. Its stadium, referred to by the locals as the Dairy Bowl, was home to the Green Bay Packers until 1951.
If you’re an RV traveler plan be a guest at the Wisconsin State Fair RV Park. It is conveniently located just minutes from downtown Milwaukee where you can visit museums, take in summer festivals and enjoy dining for any price range. The Mayfair shopping mall is close by and for the kids, the Milwaukee County Zoo. During the summer there are too many events to mention at this busy park so make sure to buy your tickets and reserve your spot because space here is sure to fill up fast.
