The Mount Olympus Water & Theme Park at Wisconsin Dells is an entertainment complex that is truly Olympian in its stature and scope. This Mount Olympus is a combination theme park and water park that combines indoor and outdoor attractions, so that there is a nearly infinite number of rides to go on and things to do. The combined theme park and water park boasts a total of 37 slippery water slides, 6 huge roller coasters, 8 distinct go-kart tracks, and a total of 156 acres of thrills and watery spills.
The newest attraction at Mount Olympus is the indoor theme park, just opened in 2006. This vast indoor space is open year-round and offers a number of different attractions for amusement park visitors of every age. The spine-tingling OPA Twister Coaster, for example, is an ultra-modern 1,378 foot roller coaster that dips, turns, twists, and, of course, loops upside-down at breakneck-seeming speeds. For younger visitors, there is the beloved teacup ride, in which riders climb into human-sized teacups that turn and turn, spinning on their axis while orbiting around an immense teapot at the center.
For year-round thrills that get you wet, Olympus boasts the Medusa's Indoor Waterpark. This is a 55,000 square foot space that gives visitors the illusion of being outdoors indoors. Medusa's water parks is a complex of deep and shallow pools, interspersed with enormous water slides. During the summer season, take to the famous outdoor waterpark at Olympus, which features even more water slides, plus a long, meandering artificial river, and 2 artificial wave pools--including the famous Neptune's Rage.
