Paul Bunyan Restaurant in Wisconsin Dells is more than a place to eat. Located off Exit 87 on Highway 90/94, this theme-based establishment offers family dining and fun 'Lumberjack Style.' That means all-you-can-eat and family-style table service from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m., breakfast, lunch or dinner. Start the day off right with flapjacks smothered in maple syrup, add Bunyan's special link sausage, baked ham, scrambled eggs, Camp Fried Potatoes, and signature buttermilk donuts. For lunch, there's a large selection of super-sized sandwiches and salads. Every evening there's a special entree of either prime rib, seafood or pasta served with famous Camp Style Chicken. Fridays there is a Fish Blast featuring fried cod or lobster. Freshly baked logging-camp breads, salad, slaw, vegetable and potato complete the dinner meal. Vegetarian selections are available along with foods for special dietary restrictions. The Paul Bunyan Bakery features homemade items baked from scratch. Soft, freshly baked donuts are famous for melting in your mouth from the first bite to the last. Several varieties include glazed, chocolate and sugar, as well as plain cake donuts that are so delicious it's hard to eat only one. Cookie connoisseurs appreciate the gigantic specimens offered here. Paul Bunyan's aromatic, white bread is the bakery's specialty. Cinnamon bread is loaded with spices 'just like Grandma baked.' There is an adjacent gift shop with souvenirs of Wisconsin Dells along with Paul Bunyan memorabilia. Tours to the restaurant can be booked in advance. A complimentary meal is provided the group driver or tour director.
